‘Wag mag-asawa ng materialistic at swapang

A good warning for single seafarers was recently posted in Facebook. It reads alike the title of this post, sa mga seaman, ‘wag mag-asawa ng materialistic at swapang.

Why?

“Para ‘di magaya sa kuya ko,” said Dina (not her real name), referring to her married brother’s misfortunes in life she hopes we could avoid.

Dina said that her seaman brother was ill. Worst, his estranged wife won’t stop milking money from him even he’s crippled.

Bawat baba niya walang ipon puro pa utang.”
