MSC Lirica brings 2.3k tourists to Manila

MSC Lirica goes to Manila, Philippines

MSC Lirica, a 65,591 Gross Tonnage luxury ship of MSC Cruises, has docked in the City of Manila last Friday, December 25.

According to Department of Tourism – Metro Manila, MSC Lirica carried a total of 2,313 passengers. They had departed Xiamen, China to arrive Manila in Christmas day.

On thesame Facebook post, DOT Metro Manila divulged that around 56 buses were utilized to tour the Chinese tourists around the city.

The plan was to bring the tourists to these famous attractions in not more than 48 hours:
1. Intramuros
2. Rizal park
3. SM Mall of Asia
4. Robinson’s Place Manila
5. City of Dreams
6. Makati
7. Bonifacio Global City (BGC)
8. Duty Free, and
9. Dampa, Macapagal Avenue.

Meanwhile, Filipino netizens were grateful of MSC Lirica’s Christmas visit to Manila. One of them is Bayani Batac Jr., who wrote a comment in Facebook, “Salamat MSC, maipapakita rin ang ganda ng Pilipinas [sa mga turista] (Thank you MSC, now we can showcase the beauty of the Philippines [to tourists])!”
