Full of high spirits, Mike plays with the penguins up close and personal. He fingerholds icebergs in the ‘frozen’ continents of Antarctic and Arctic, too. Thanks to seafaring, he was able to enjoy these rare experiences in life!
In an online interview, the Pinoy assistant waiter who just disembarked his expedition cruise ship MS Spitsbergen of Hurtigruten shared us the kind of life they enjoy onboard their ship.
According to Mike, Filipino crew chill out by having fun & games onboard.
Moreover, they have free WiFi, and a Filipino TV channel to enjoy.
“Well, kaming mga Pinoy onboard Hurtigruten, we do make fun.
“We have meetings, karaoke, fun games and raffles.
“We can even use the Jacuzzi after work.
“This Jacuzzi is the same as what our guests enjoy.
“‘Di ba san ka pa?
“We have free WiFi and may TFC din kami onboard.
“So hindi ka ma hohomesick. “
The Filipino Channel (TFC) is an online platform of ABS-CBN, a giant media network in the Philippines. Subscribed clients may enjoy watching ABS-CBN’s latest teleseryes, Pinoy blockbuster films, and can be updated of the latest news in the region.
On the other hand, Mike revealed that their kind Norwegian shipmates trust Filipino seafarers.
“Well mababait ang mga Norwegian.
“Malaki tiwala nila sa mga Pinoy.
“Maluwag sila sa work – parang we work like friends and family lang kami. “
